When the John Krasinski film The Hollars came to Jackson, Mississippi, to shoot, Seth David “Suits” Healy got the call to stand in on it for actor Sharlto Copley.

He, along with several other stand-ins on the project, were recently interviewed for a story by Sherry Lucas of Jackson’s newspaper, The Clarion-Ledger.

In the article, the stand-ins talk about many different facets of the standing in on a film. The article also includes this video interview with Healy:

Healy, who had worked as an extra before in Hollywood, commented for the article on all of the different facets of filmmaking he learned while watching from the perspective of a stand-in. “You get to learn directing, lighting, wardrobe, … everything.”
