If you are a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) or the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), you are probably interested in the details of the pending merger of the two major talent unions.
You might also be interested in the merger if you’re not a union member but a stand-in who’s been waiting for the merger to happen to avoid double joining fees.
This evening, the SAG-AFTRA merger documents went online for review. According to a SAG email received by Stand-In Central this evening, later this week a joint website will go live with more information about the merger, including “merger details, FAQs, and a comprehensive calendar of events” related to the merger.
Below are links to the merger documents, available on the SAG website:
Website: http://www.sagaftra.org
- The Merger Agreement between the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists
- Constitution of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA)
- Feasibility Review of Combining the SAG Producers & Health Plans and the AFTRA Health & Retirement Funds
