Stand-ins appear from time to time in popular culture. In this entry of Stand-In Central, we look at a new album titled The Stand-In.

The title of the sophomore album by Nashville songstress Caitlin Rose is The Stand-In, and while the title doesn’t come from a reference to standing in on a TV or film set, this folksy album is definitely worth a listen when it drops in the US on March 5, 2013.
The song “Everywhere I Go” has the closest lyric to standing in — “standing in the light” — but it’s not quite a reference to second team!
For a limited time, you can preview the entire album on the website for The Independent. The album is also available from major online retailers and from the artist’s website.
