For the 1971 film Fools’ Parade, West Virginian Jeff Kirk stood in for actor Kurt Russell when the film came to town.

Forty-five years later, WTRF interviewed Jeff about his experience working as a stand-in on the film, which starred James Stewart.

The film was in the Moundsville, WV, area for about six weeks, wherein Jeff worked for $15 a day as a stand-in — with his antique picture car fetching $30 a day.

In the interview, Jeff shares how he bonded with the cast and offers some behind-the-scenes insights into the actors who worked on it.
