It’s been a long time coming.

Although Stand-In Central has regularly posted updates to its weekly Tips & Tricks Blog on the pay rates various stand-ins make, what has been lacking for a long time from the website is a centralized page showing the current rates for union stand-ins.

Our new “Stand-In Pay” page is accessible from the main menu of the website, and it lists the type of job, along with the respective SAG-AFTRA contract, the pay rate, the expiration date of the rate, and any additional notes.

To make things easy, the entries also link to the rate sheets the Union publishes on its website (but can be a bit hard to locate).

We aim to update the page soon after any of these rates expire. Keep in mind that frequently, SAG-AFTRA contracts expire and it takes some time for members to ratify any new rates.

It is not unusual to work at expired rates if it is soon after a contract expired.  Typically, if members later ratify new rates, you end up getting a retroactive additional paycheck covering what you should have made after the contract expired.
