“The Emotional Standin” – A Character Portrayal by Actor Hillary J. Walker

In 2015, actor Hillary J. Walker posted to YouTube a couple of short comedy videos portraying personalities that might be found on a film set.

One of those videos was “The Emotional Standin,” a clip from the 2010 film Action!!! In that video, Hillary played a film stand-in desperate for a job and obviously upset by how a gaffer treats her on set.

Here’s the video. Some of the language might be not safe for work:

Here’s the other video portraying on the opposite end of the spectrum: the film star.

Of course, note that these videos are satire! You probably won’t see these types of people on every film and television set you stand in on. However, at least based on these videos, it seems Hillary has encountered these types before!
