I have had the privilege of standing in for Seth Meyers on a number of projects, including promos, commercials, and photo shoots. And I’ve also had the privilege of watching Zach Woods perform long-form improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York City before his starring turn in the television series Silicon Valley.

That’s why it was a treat to discover Meyers and Woods talked stand-ins in an interview on Meyers’s show Late Night with Seth Meyers about a year ago.

In the interview, Woods explains what “second team” is, as well as the funny characteristic the stand-ins on Silicon Valley have. His explanation shows just how valuable stand-ins can be to a production!

Are you a stand-in on Silicon Valley? What is your experience as a stand-in on that show? Post your experiences below!
