According to Abel Osundairo, Abel met Jussie Smollett in around 2016 or 2017, and eventually Smollett asked him about becoming a stand-in on Smollett’s television series Empire. Abel ended up standing in for the love interest of Jussie Smollett’s character on the series.

This interview, which came out within the past few days, covers Abel’s account of knowing Smollett. Note that the interview covers allegations of drug transactions, so it’s a bit outside of standard stand-in work. But since the Osundairo Brothers have been in the news around the newsworthy activities of actor Smollett (for example, see this news article), we thought we’d post this brief interview on Stand-In Central.
